Whisper runs entirely on your device: the model downloads once from Hugging Face and is cached in your browser, and your file never leaves your device. The sizes shown are for the CPU; with GPU acceleration the download is about twice as large (Small about 560 MB) and transcription is faster, and if the GPU fails it continues on the CPU automatically. For Arabic choose Small; the two smaller models make many Arabic mistakes. Choose the spoken language instead of auto-detect when you know it, for better results. Accuracy drops with noise, music and overlapping speakers, so review the lines before publishing.
